Here’s a review of wood surface finishing comparisons
When a healthier wood finish is desirable and possible,
WOCA (WoodCare Products of America) products are worthy of your consideration and sold through Whole Log Lumber.
This is not a top surface hardwood floor finish only,
but a non-VOC, deep penetrating, hardening oil that resists discoloring damage by
heavy wear, nicks and cuts, and is easy to use and maintain.
Color can be as important as species
Heart Pine
naturally ranges from light-to-dark gold and amber along a reddish spectrum.
Antique Oak
depending on species, may lend itself to a smoky grey essence.
Hardwoods
in general, easily embody a range of light to dark, antique brown tones. Choosing the correct wood finish and color, for the floor of your dreams can enhance natural color grain tendencies that await your finishing touch, or transform what is already beautiful into the absolutely unique.
In addition to heart pine, and red and white antique oak, our reclaimed antique flooring includes fluctuating quantities of maple, chestnut, birch and gum, as well as softer woods such as hemlock, redwood and cypress.
