We had an amazing turn out for our October Wood Fest and appreciate all of our local Pros and Homeowners that made it out!

As a show of appreciation to all of our past, present and future users of reclaimed wood products, Whole Log Lumber was happy to host a 2 day event on Friday Oct. 12th and Saturday Oct. 13th to give back to everyone who has supported us for over 34 years. We shared great food, drinks, prizes/giveaways and a lot of knowledge on how Whole Log Lumber’s products have enhanced thousands of homes and businesses

around the country.

Flooring Installation Demonstration by Vitaliy Botnar

One of our most respected flooring contractors, Vitaliy Botnar of Botnar’s Flooring, was gracious enough to come out and show off the process of installing our Character Oak flooring (video to come!) to our visiting Builders & Contractors. Vitaliy walked the spectators through each of the steps for installation, surface refinement and Woca Natural Oil finishing. Vitaliy has over 13 years of flooring experience and has been working with our floors for the past 5 years. He let the crowd know that if he could only install reclaimed floors he would. Thanks so much to Vitaliy for his  all of his help and insight!

As part of giving back to our partners, we had many games and giveaways for the all of the people that attended. Including Fat Max measuring tapes for our trades people, hats, custom made flower planters, kindling, pumpkins and a Grand Prize of a specialty Jersey Axe made by Council Tool in NC. The grand Prize winner was William W. Wilson III of Wilson Construction. He is a regional contractor that specializes in remodels, small additions and summer camps. Bill has been in business in the WNC area for the past 13 years. William (Bill) assured us that his new axe will get lots of use.

Our big guest for Saturday was Aaron Burdett, whose wonderful music made the beautiful day even more enjoyable. We’ve been a big fan of Aaron and thankfully he’s been a big fan of ours, having gotten a long list of building materials from us in the past. Aaron’s music, mixed with our setting, added to the feeling of history and places that have a story to tell.

Special thanks to Hubba Hubba Smokehouse & Flatrock Village Bakery for catering, Aaron Burdett for the wonderful live music, Council Tool Co. of Lake Waccamaw, NC for the Jersey Axe Grand Prize and Vitaliy Botnar of Botnar’s Flooring for the live demonstration.
