Why an Antique Wood Mantel ?

Antique & Reclaimed wood has a much lower moisture content so it is more solid and stable. Mantels are usually part of heated fireplaces, the heat from which can cause wood which is not properly dry, to shrink. Our reclaimed wood mantels are custom cut to your sizing needs, and available in a variety of wood species and finishing effects.

Planed Heart Pine Mantel

When timbers are "Planed", a smooth surface is created to bring out the rich grain of the wood.

Character Brushed Mantel

"Character Brushing" cleans off dirt and old paint with a lightly sanded effect that creates a rich burnished look as an end result.

Rustic Fireplace Mantels

"Rustic" looks often come from beams with cracks, nail and bolt holes and even axe marks, created by the original wood workers.

Planed with Rounded Edges

"Rounded" edges expose end grains and create a more formal or contemporary look.
