Worn down by age rather than planing machines, they maintain the cuts and old sawn look created in centuries gone by (often by hand). Naturally darker because of the original patina surface, this rustic look can be created with several wood species depending on availability. Finished here only with tung oil. | ||||||

This lively floor is somewhat akin to wormy chestnut in appearance, and contains no less than 90% heart content. There will be knots present and nail holes will range in size from 1/16" to 1/4''. Keep in mind that these nail holes were created
by craftsmen as much as 150 years ago.
