|  This special floor is created from "virgin growth" Long-Leaf Southern Pine - from a tree 400 or more years old , rather than "New Heart Pine" from a tree 50-60 years old. It's 1/8" veneer strip of Antique Heart Pine has been laminated to a 7-ply wood sheet of Russian Birch. It can be classified as a "green" building product, since the top layer is from recycled wood. Since it's pre-finished, it has appeal as an economical approach to fine antique flooring.
These floors have tight, unique grain patterns & sound knots. Random nail holes add to their unique character and remind us that this floor has a history that's being reclaimed and renewed for another lifetime!
