Rustic Wood Flooring with Carolina Character

At Whole Log Reclaimed, we believe that time and distress marks create character – not flaws.

Reclaimed wood is all about that unique character that comes from the history of the wood itself. Carolina Character rustic floors are distinguished by their timeworn surfaces marked by aged patina, saw marks, and beautiful imperfections. Our rustic wood flooring is created from salvaged barnwood, factory timbers and more, and then transformed and repurposed at our Western North Carolina woodshop.

Rustic Wood Flooring - Carolina Character Options

In creating Carolina Character floors, the amount of skip-planing and sanding ultimately determines how much fresh grain is revealed and how much antique patina remains. It’s a delicate process that our craftspeople have mastered over years of experience. The resulting rustic wood flooring is remarkably vibrant though more sanding may be desired during installation.

WOW!! The quality of the wood, the friendly, personal service and the attention to detail is unsurpassed. We had a Carolina Character Oak floor installed … The finished floor with the WOCA oil treatment turned out even better than we expected. Our contractor was amazed and took pictures to show his other clients. Our family and friends gasp when we take them on a tour of our new home and show them our master bedroom suite…
